We were on a 6-month trip with our 2 kids in our old Bounder RV. Maya called the Mystic Forest so we could stay for a night. Well, that stop changed our lives! Being the new stewards of this land after the legacy that Tom and Carolyn left is quite a task and so much work but yet, we love what we are doing!
They wrote the following message in spring 2023 when they turned over the hat to our family:
“Another year of camping is coming around. Unfortunately, we will not be here to greet our regular campers or new campers coming this year. We have sold the park and are retiring. It has been a great run for 28 years and we will miss it. The couple that purchased the park are super people. We believe that they will be good for the park. A big thank you goes out to all of our regular campers and new ones that we haven’t met yet.”
Tom & Carolyn
Thank you again and Happy Camping.
Huge thank you to Tom and Carolyn for trusting us, training us and still being there to this date when we have a question.
Mystic Forest Campground Established in 1977
BJ, the founder of the Mystic Forest, had a dream to create a place for his friends and other people to come and enjoy the forest and the close by rivers. Since, thousands have enjoyed a simple nature experience and good old-fashion camping. There are several families and groups that have been camping at the Mystic Forest for decades.
Our family intends to keep the same feel and mission as what BJ, Tom and Carolyn had imagined.
Thank you and hope to see you at the campground!
